Girls Fast Pitch Softball - Recreation
Girl's Fast Pitch Softball
Recreation League | Grades 3–9

- League Fee: $75 Resident / $85 Non
Games are played Tuesday & Thursday evenings at Orem Elementary.
The season begins the week of May 11 and post-season tournaments will end around the middle to end of July. Games are played at the Orem Elementary Softball fields. The fee includes a team t-shirt and nine (9) regular season games. Bats and balls are provided but each participant needs to have a softball glove and a batting helmet with facemask. An infielder mask is strongly encouraged. Hats and softball cleats are optional (no metal cleats allowed). Late registration (limited availability) will begin April 20, and there will be a $5 late fee in addition to the registration fee.
There will be three grade divisions; 3–4, 5–6, and 7–9 grades. Girls will sign up in the grade that they are in during the 25/26 (current) school year. Games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 4:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
Volunteer coaches are needed to help with the Girls Softball program!

- Leagues: 10U, 12U, 14U, 16/18U
Note: Registration is team-based only.
Team MUST be registered with USA Softball.
Registration is accepted on a team basis only. Your team MUST be registered with USA Softball to participate in this league. Please sign up for this league only if your team is ready to participate in a higher level of competition! NEW FORMAT: Each team is guaranteed eleven games (ten league games and a single elimination tournament). Game balls will be provided. All other equipment is responsibility of team; must be registered with USA Softball. A minimum of six teams must be registered in a division for that division to carry.

Tournaments
"May Madness" Girls Softball Tournament
The Orem Recreation Department will be hosting several fast pitch softball tournaments in 2026! Dates for the 10U & 12U tournament are April 24-25, 2026 and 14U will play on May 1-2, 2026. Games will be played at Lakeside Sports Complex (400 S. 1850 W., Orem) and other sites as needed. Fee is $600 per team and each team must be registered with USA Softball to participate. Each team will be guaranteed to play 4 games. Awards given will be based on the number of teams that register. Game balls will be provided. All other equipment is responsibility of team; must be USA Softball approved. Registration must be received 2 weeks before the tournament is scheduled (unless tournament fills before then). Registration will take place on-line at rec.orem.gov or registrations can be mailed to the Orem Recreation Department (att: Debbie Boone) at 575 W Center St., Orem, UT 84057.
