Membership Terms & Definitions

CategoryDefinition & Requirements
IndividualA person age 18–59.
Senior CitizenA person age 60 or older.
StudentMust provide valid and current proof of enrollment in any educational institution. Does not qualify for additional discounts.
CoupleTwo persons living in the same household who file a joint tax return.
FamilyA legally married couple and their unmarried, legally dependent children (under age 24) living in the same household and claimed on the same tax form.

Drop-In Play

Want to just play a quick game? Drop in and play basketball, volleyball, pickleball, or racquetball.

Childcare

Our incredible team of childcare attendants is on staff so you can exercise while your kids are at play.

Playground

Thanks to the generosity of our community, our playground is for kids to explore and play.

Teen Lounge

A safe, fun place for teenagers with free wifi and desk space to do homework, chat, and hang out with friends.

Equipment

The Orem Family Fitness Center is loaded with top-of-the-line equipment to help you reach your fitness goals.

Racquetball

We have 4 beautiful courts available 5 am – 10 pm. Members or daily admission guests can reserve for up to 2 hours.

Bouldering

Challenge yourself both physically and mentally. Call for bouldering hours for open access times.

Swimming

Enjoy our aquatic amenities year-round, including a 50m lap pool and a newly updated leisure pool.

South Court

North Court

  • No dunking or hanging on rim

  • No practices or teams

  • Recreation Department events take priority

  • No rollerblades, skateboards, bicycles, scooters, etc.

  • Water only – no other food or drinks

  • Half court play only

  • Full court play available during designated drop-in times

General Rules

  • Courts designated for pickleball play only during this time

  • Players must wear non-marking shoes

  • Children under 12 years of age must be supervised

  • All lessons/leagues/tournaments must be scheduled through the Recreation Department

  • Events scheduled by the Recreation Department have priority over open play

Everyone Plays Rules

  • When other players are waiting, courts cannot be used by the same players for more than one game to eleven.

  • The paddle racks should be used to save a place in line.

  • When a game finishes, the court is vacated for the players next in line.

Drop-in Play

  • Designated for full court pickup basketball games

  • Half court play only during open times not scheduled for drop-in play

  • No reservations for drop-in play

  • Absolutely no dunking or hanging on the rim

  • Players must wear non-marking shoes

  • All lessons/leagues/tournaments must be scheduled through the Recreation Department

  • Events scheduled by the Recreation Department have priority over open play

Drop-in Playing Rotations

  • Games played to 11 (1s and 2s) when players are waiting

  • Winning team stays on when players waiting to play

  • When more than 5 players are waiting to play, both teams rotate out. If the number of players waiting is between 6 and 9, players from the winning team shoot and make free throws to join the players waiting to form a team.

  • Unsportsmanlike play will not be tolerated and may be subject to Orem Family Fitness Center discipline

We’ve got 1,150 square feet of play area with a dedicated restroom, private fenced outdoor playground, and electronic check-in so your little ones can be just as active as you!

Potty-trained children have access to the childcare restroom. Parents are responsible for changing diapers during the visit if needed.

No food, drink, or toys are permitted in childcare, with the exception of bottled water.

Children exhibiting symptoms must be 24 hours symptom-free (fever, runny nose, cough, sore throat, upset stomach, rashes, etc.) before returning to childcare.

  • Register: Sign up online with KidCheck and create a profile for your children.

  • App: Download the Orem Rec App to purchase and access your monthly passes.

  • Check-in: Ensure your child is fed and in a clean diaper before drop-off so you can focus on your workout!
