Our traditional dance classes are approximately 12 weeks long with a Recital at the end. Full cost is paid at registration. Traditional dance classes are offered for fall, winter and spring sessions. Also, check out our dance camps!

Recital Dance Classes

| Creative Movement | Focuses on movement basics to help children gain confidence in improvisation and imagination. Introduces time, space, and energy. Tailored to individual levels to improve self-esteem and memorization. Children must be independent of the parent. | Attire that allows ease of movement. Participants dance barefoot. |
| Pre-Ballet | A fun introduction to ballet discipline. Covers basic terms, techniques, stretching, and strengthening. Emphasizes alignment, placement, musicality, and performance etiquette. Improves confidence through practice. | Girls: Pink tights, black or dark leotard. Boys: Shorts and T-shirt. Shoes: Ballet shoes (leather recommended). |
| Ballet | This class introduces the aspiring ballerina to a more regular technique class. At a higher difficulty level than the pre-ballet class, it is meant to bring the dancers to a level at which they may progress with their ballet technique. | Females: Leotard, tights, hair in a tight bun. Males: Shorts and T-shirt. Shoes: Leather or canvas ballet slippers. |
| Hip Hop | Explosive, funky style combining memory, coordination, and rhythm games. High-energy workout focusing on funky fundamentals and choreographed routines. | Athletic wear that allows for movement. Sneakers/athletic shoes. |
| Jazz | Combines ballet and modern technique with contemporary influences. Includes flexibility and strength training. Dancers learn to pick up body direction through combos. | Attire that allows technique to be visible. Dance shoes not necessary; socks encouraged for specific exercises. |
| Pom | Pom is a high-energy dance style that blends jazz, hip hop, and cheer elements into a sharp, clean performance style using pom-poms. Unlike cheer, pom is dance-centered, focusing on technical choreography rather than stunting or tumbling. | Athletic or dance attire. |
